What is PinBud?

In simple terms, PinBud is a website that puts together service providers / service businesses with the customers that use them. We offer business listings for service-based businesses, and local consumers can search for and contact these service businesses in their area.

PinBud is an international brand, having expanded to three countries on two continents (The United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom). Yes, we’re global, but we’re also all about you and your local area.

Why PinBud?

The idea for PinBud was born from a simple search for a general contractor by one of PinBud’s principals. He searched, researched, searched some more, asked friends for recommendations, and finally found four general contractors he wanted to contact. Then, he called all four, and had to explain the entire job to each one… it was very tedious, and very time consuming.

There had to be a better way...

PinBud's co-founders identified the necessity for a one-stop, simple-to-use website offering local search, research, references and reviews, and (most importantly) the ability to easily contact of multiple local businesses using a single service request form. Then they got to work.

Yes, there was indeed a better way. And that "better way" is www.PinBud.com.

Our mission

Our goal is to serve and meet the needs of our customers, both individual users seeking services and service providers with free/paid business listings. We strive to continually improve our product and user experience, and to be as secure as possible at all times. We are working to make PinBud.com the leading global online marketplace for local services.

For the consumer (free personal accounts)

Let’s start with the basics – PinBud is 100% free for consumers to use. All you need to do to contact businesses is setup a personal account.

So why would you want a personal account? Well, because it makes searching and contacting local services easier. For example, perhaps you are looking for a carpet cleaner who is employing that new technology and available on a Saturday... or you need a new windshield for your car and your budget is only $250... or maybe you need a dentist working in the evenings, or a good event planner to help with your wedding.

For any of those situations, you could spend hours fishing through the yellow pages calling multiple service businesses one at a time to find the right one for your problem. Or, you can go to PinBud.com.

PinBud.com offers a more convenient, time-saving method of obtaining all the relevant information diligent consumers (like you) need. The process is simple:

• Select a service category, enter your location, and click search.
• Sort through business listings by ratings, distance, or keywords (whichever strikes your fancy).
• Read presentation pages or reviews left by other users like you.
• See what discounts are offered to PinBud users.
• Select listings that interest you and are PinBud members, available for contact.
• Complete and submit a quick online form describing job requirements, your budget, etc.
• The request will be sent to all of your selected businesses at once.
• That's it - you’re done. The interested businesses will contact you.

Businesses will reply to you directly, the way you want it, when you want it, to compete for the job. You likely will have several bids waiting for you in your inbox, or you will get them by phone (if you so chose). From there you can select the best bid, get back to the chosen provider, and continue with a usual transaction sequence. PinBud is not involved in negotiations, and we do not charge any transaction fees.

Plus, after the job is over, you can share your experience with other users by rating and reviewing businesses and their services. PinBud is a great research tool because of feedback from consumers like you!
